FAQs
What kind of group classes do you offer? We offer instruction in Acrylics, Oil, Watercolors, Graphite, Charcoal, Colored Pencils, and Pastels. Each student can choose the medium they’d like to work with.
Which class is best for me? All our group art classes are designed for students aged 9 and older. While taught in a group setting, each student works on an individual project tailored to their medium of choice, skill level, and personal goals. You can mix and match classes to fit your schedule.
What about younger kids? We recommend private art lessons for children under the age of 9, as we find that younger students benefit more from one-on-one instruction. You can find more information about our private painting and drawing classes here.
I want to create an art portfolio. Is this class right for me? Absolutely! Our classes are designed to help you develop the skills needed to build a strong art portfolio.
What if I cancel or miss a class? Please note that our seating is limited. Please inform us 24 hours in advance to reschedule. Same-day cancellations or no-shows are considered sessions attended, except in emergencies.
Where do I park? We have a large, free outdoor parking lot conveniently located right beneath our studio.
What supplies do I need? No supplies are needed for the first class. After that, we provide limited drawing materials, but we strongly recommend purchasing one of our drawing kits to practice between studio sessions. Once you have a basic understanding of drawing and want to start painting, you’ll need a painting kit, which can be conveniently purchased at our studio. We also offer sample kits for rent at $12.50 per day.
What are classes like? Does the whole group work on the same project? Our classes are personalized to your interests and goals. You let us know what you’re passionate about and what skills you want to develop, and we’ll provide the knowledge and techniques to help you achieve your dreams. You’ll work on your projects while other students work on their own unique art pieces.
How do I cancel my scheduled class? If you need to cancel your class, please call us or cancel online at least 24 hours in advance. The class fee is non-refundable for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class or for no-shows.
Are private lessons better? No! However, Private art lessons are preferred because they offer personalized attention, a customized curriculum, flexible pacing, and a comfortable environment, leading to more effective and confident learning.
